Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s University Hospital NICU is a 51-bed, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Staff Nurse (RN) in NICU will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide expert nursing care for critically ill neonates and their families.

Responsibilities include directing nursing care, coordinating patient plans, and ensuring quality outcomes while supporting the patient experience and cost-effective care on a third-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care to patients and their families.
• Direct and supervise nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model.
