Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide patient respiratory care across adolescent to geriatric populations in line with physician orders and established guidelines in Georgia.

You will assess, treat, and monitor respiratory status, perform arterial blood gas analysis, and manage oxygen therapy, airway care, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator support. The role requires RRT licensure, BCLS/ACLS/PALS, and a graduate from an accredited program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Assesses patient respiratory status and determines treatment needs.
• Interprets arterial blood gases and analyzes data.
• Delivers oxygen, aerosol, CPAP/BiPAP or ventilator support as indicated.
• Performs CPR and manages airway care including tracheostomy care and suctioning.
• Sets up, operates, and maintains ventilators; transports patients as needed.
