Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the Georgia Composite Medical Board in good standing.
• BCLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Assesses patient respiratory status and recommends appropriate therapies.
• Interviews patients and families to gather care information.
• Maintains equipment levels and ensures departmental safety.
• Operates ventilators and manages patient care in ICU and other units.
• Performs arterial blood sampling and analyzes blood gas data.
