Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the NICU/Neb neonatal intensive care unit. The role involves direct clinical care, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality nursing practices through the nursing process and hospital policies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure, BLS, and 1 year of RN experience for PRN status, with ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred per policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience for PRN status required.
• Recent acute care experience preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice in state.
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP per policy as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established safety standards, risk management, QA, and Infection Control.
• Administer medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Know and adhere to Hospital emergency codes and related policies.
