Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an experienced RN for our Level III NICU and transport services, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Provides safe, competent nursing care per facility policy and leads the healthcare team. Requires NV RN license, BLS, NRP within 6 months, STABLE within 6 months, and 2 years in Level III NICU/transport. Strong neonatal care skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate. NRP within 6 mo. of hire. STABLE within 6 mo of hire.
• 2 years of Level 3 NICU and transport experience.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the post partum period, while in the hospital setting
• Caring for the infants and educating mothers about care.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
