Job summary

Corewell Health’s Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a qualified RN to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The NICU cares for severely ill newborns, including extremely premature or post-term babies, with complex respiratory, cardiac, neurological, and surgical needs.

The RN will apply the nursing process under the Nurse Leader, coordinating with families and the care team to plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing within 5 years if new graduate or less than 1 year experience is required.
• MI RN license is required or within 60 days of hire for new grads.
• BLS/NRP must be current or within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and patient/family centered care.
• Collaborate with Nurse Leader and care team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Educate patients and families and document education in health records.
• Discharge planning and coordination with interdisciplinary team.
