Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care unit (CCU) in Boston, MA. The role includes delivering high-quality nursing care to complex cardiology patients on a 36-hour night schedule with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred) and ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the CCU, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with the health care team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines established by BMC nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
