Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist for weekend night shifts. The role includes newborn respiratory care, assessments, and coordination with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes in a busy NICU.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and requires neonatal care experience or orientation, plus active RRT certification and state licensure, with BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS upon hire.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree required in Respiratory Therapy.
• Experience: neonatal respiratory care experience or orientation with competency validation.
• Licenses: RRT and Georgia license; BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required upon hire.

Required Hours: Weekend Option 7pm-7am

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACL S Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
