Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide adult and neonatal respiratory care, bedside assessments, and support for delivery and neonatal units. The role involves complex procedures, equipment management, and family education.

Weekend night shift option and a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth; NBRC credential, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS are required, along with neonatal care experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Previous neonatal respiratory care experience preferred or validated orientation.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist and NBRC credential required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and respiratory care procedures for adults and neonates.
• Provide respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery and neonatal units.
• Conduct blood gas analysis, interpret results, and manage equipment.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and therapies.

Weekend Option 7pm-7am

Responsibilities

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and


• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and


• ACLS Upon Hire Required and


• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required


• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
