Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in El Reno, Oklahoma. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for the care team.

The role requires an RCP license, a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, and an NBRC RRT credential. ER staff may require PALS and ACLS as applicable, with emphasis on safety and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license and meet state licensure requirements.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• PALS certification may be required for ER staff.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy as ordered by physicians.
• Consult with physicians on effectiveness of therapy and adjust treatment as needed.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.

Position Details:

QualificationsEducation: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.Experience: None.Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices. Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.Preferred Certifications: Preferred Other:
