Job summary

Mercy South in Missouri seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care per physician orders and consult on therapy effectiveness. The role serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff and will rotate to the NICU on a rotating basis.

The position is full-time, night shift, with a $20,000 bonus for RRTs. Candidates must be a graduate of a CoARC-approved program, hold an RCP license, and possess NBRC RRT credentials; ACLS is preferred and PALS is required

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC; PALS required for ER personnel.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and mobility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as a resource for physicians and nursing staff.
• Rotate to NICU assignments; participate in team-based care.
