Job summary

Mercy South in Florissant is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide direct patient care across respiratory services per physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and support nursing staff as an advanced resource in respiratory care.

Full-time Night shift with NICU rotation on a rotating basis; eligible for a $20,000 bonus for RRTs and comprehensive benefits as part of Mercy's care-driven team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential awarded by NBRC; PALS required for ER staff.
• Physical demands: push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
