Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Per Diem Clinical Nurse to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to a designated patient group in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role emphasizes relationship-centered care, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and adherence to hospital standards.

The ideal candidate holds an NYS RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, and has at least two years of NICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current NYS RN license; BLS certification; NRP certification.
• Two years NICU RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care by applying nursing process and evidence-based practice within the professional practice model.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care needs using critical thinking and plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care, transition, health promotion and disease prevention.
• Performs charge nurse duties; coordinates supplies and staffing to ensure patient care is adequately supported.
• Documents accurately per hospital, regulatory, and standards of care; participates in quality and safety initiatives.
• Contributes to professional development by mentoring new staff and advancing clinical competence.
