Job summary

Premier Health's Miami Valley Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the full‑time day shift (36 hours per week, 72 hours per pay period). This role supports nurses and doctors in delivering compassionate newborn care.

Duties include checking vitals, assisting with ADLs and feeding, collecting samples, and reporting changes in a patient’s condition to a nurse. Training includes BLS/CPR; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Training: BLS CPR certificate required or provided at orientation.
• Experience: Completion of STNA/CNA training or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training; or direct patient care experience within last five years; or nursing student with at least one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Check vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP).
• Assist with mobility, dressing, and meals (ADLs).
• Collect samples such as urine.
• Report changes in a patient’s condition to a nurse.
