Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL is seeking a patient care associate to assist with basic care, monitor vital signs, perform EKG testing and phlebotomy under RN supervision, and support daily living activities.

You will help keep rooms clean, transport patients, and report changes to nursing staff. Requires 3 months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training program; BLS certifications required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training program.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies required within six (6) months of hire.
• Ability to work under supervision in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.
• Performs basic patient care activities under RN supervision, including vitals, EKG, phlebotomy and blood glucose.
• Monitors patient status and reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Assists with transporting patients and activities of daily living.
