Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Medical City Dallas is seeking a Neonatal ICU Occupational Therapist to join a full-time day shift. You will evaluate and treat neonates in the ICU, coordinating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and independence.

You will educate families, document progress, and contribute to a collaborative care environment that aligns with our mission and values. BCLS, OT licensure, and a Bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• OTR or OT licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs; develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based neonatal ICU occupational therapy interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and document outcomes thoroughly and timely.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions of care and excellent patient experience.
• Lead and mentor therapy assistants or students; uphold HCA Healthcare’s mission and values.
