Job summary

Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant I/II for NICU on the evening shift. Under RN supervision, you will support patient care, communicate with patients and families, and help maintain a respectful, clean environment.

The role requires at least one year of patient care experience; NYS CNA license preferred; HS diploma or GED. You must meet pre-employment requirements and be eligible for the 1500-2330 shift.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in patient care under professional supervision.
• NYS CNA license or certified nursing aide training preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Change simple dressings as directed and assist with basic treatments.
• Take temperatures, pulse, BP and respiration.
• Attend to daily living activities and personal hygiene for patients.
• Feed patients requiring assistance to ensure adequate nourishment.
• Maintain patients' rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
