Tenet Healthcare in Palm Springs, CA is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist for per diem night shifts. You will provide specialized neonatal respiratory care, manage vents, and support providers in a busy 24-hour NICU. Requires NBRC RRT, CA RCP license, and 3+ years NICU experience.

This role emphasizes regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and collaboration with neonatology teams to ensure optimal neonatal outcomes.

Formación

• Current California RCP license.
• NBRC RRT credential.
• Graduate of a 2-4 year AMA therapist program, or equivalent.
• Licensure kept current at all times.
• BLS and NRP certifications current.
• Minimum of three years of acute care NICU experience.
• Intubation certification completion within 90 days of hire (Desert Regional Medical Center).

Responsabilidades

• Performs direct and indirect NICU respiratory care including ventilation management.
• Administers pharmacological agents as prescribed and participates in care planning.
• Maintains accurate clinical documentation and shift hand-offs.
• Collaborates with NICU nurses, neonatologists and other providers.
• Responds to emergencies and NICU CODE events.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and department standards.
• Maintains NICU equipment and ensures safe operation.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and staff orientation.
• Facilitates patient transport as needed.
