Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA seeks a Respiratory Therapist to plan and administer respiratory care in assigned clinical areas. The role requires CRT, CA RCP licensure, BLS, and NRP certification with 12/36 hour shifts (6 PM – 6:30 AM).

Successful candidates will have CoARC-accredited schooling and relevant NICU experience preferred; affiliation with SEIU-UHW under the CBA governs employment terms. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in a union environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – NBRC.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Professional certification.
• NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers respiratory care functions in assigned clinical areas.
• Communicates patient status and updates the plan of care per shift.
• Maintains patient records and enters charges with appropriate timeframes.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and patient safety standards.
• Completes duties within timeframes and provides cross-coverage when needed.

AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (BLS)
