Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, 2 years in NICU preferred.
• BSN required for hires after Oct 1, 2018.
• Transition Plan to obtain BSN within two years (if currently in role).
• Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella; annual flu vaccine or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patient-related questions and clinical support needs.
• Facilitate patient flow related to admissions, discharges, visits, etc.
• Manage department resources including equipment, supplies and medications.
• Create and evaluate staffing plans and schedules; oversee transitions between care providers and shifts.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development; mentorship where applicable.
