Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is required.
• Active or eligible to obtain an unrestricted licence in Nebraska.
• BLS, PALS and NRP certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting.
• Take medical histories and perform complete physical examinations.
• Initiate labs, radiology tests and other special tests for evaluation.
• Participate in rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff.
• Educate patient families about diseases, treatments, drug effects and side effects.
• Refer patients to specialists as appropriate.
