Job summary

St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float/Flex Team.

You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal outcomes. You will assess patients, apply nursing diagnoses, and educate families on care processes, pain management, nutrition, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Of Science Nursing degree required.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• BLS/CPR certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide cost-effective, high-quality patient care.
• Performs ongoing assessments, develops nursing diagnoses and plans interventions.
• Documents in patient records per system standards.
• Provides teaching to patients and families on pain management, nutrition, skin integrity, fall prevention, diabetes, discharge instructions.
• Upholds patient safety and ethical standards while maintaining confidentiality.
• Participates in research activities and collaborates with Outcomes managers.
