Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for NICU/Nursery oversight. The CNS collaborates with the nursing leadership team to drive clinical quality and evidence-based practice across patient care areas.

Requires CNS licensure in Ohio, an MS in Nursing, and leadership ability with a flexible schedule. BLS is required; additional life-support certifications within 180 days may be needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the State of Ohio.
• Master of Science in Nursing.
• Leadership ability and ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to the practice area within 180 days of hire.
• Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NICU/Nursery operations and provide CNS leadership.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice (EBP) in clinical care.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to advance patient outcomes in the MetroHealth System.
