Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to integrate care across patient care, clinical practice, and the healthcare system. The CNS will lead expert care across Medical-Surgical units with PCU beds, mentor staff, and promote evidence-based practice.

The CNS will contribute to improving patient outcomes, reducing length of stay, and advancing cost-effective care through collaboration and leadership within the CNS team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing with current RN licensure and APRN-CNS license in Ohio.
• Master's degree in nursing; CNS certification.
• DNP preferred; specialty certification preferred.
• Maintain Ohio RN and APRN licensure; meet credentialing requirements; CNS core privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert CNS care across patient care, health promotion, and disease management.
• Mentor and support clinical staff to ensure evidence-based practice.
• Influence system-level decisions to improve quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
