Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to support the Neonatal ICU team. This position offers advanced clinical expertise, leadership, and education to promote high-quality patient care within the department.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Neonatal nursing and a passion for improving patient outcomes. The role provides a competitive salary range of $92,620 to $157,480 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• CNS certified/educated with clinical experience in Neonatal ICU.
• Two years clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical expert and resource for nursing staff.
• Promote evidence-based practice to enhance patient care.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts.
• Provide education and mentorship opportunities for nursing staff.

Skills

Strong clinical expertise in Neonatal setting

Excellent leadership skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Education

APRN: MSN required upon hire or within 5 years

Graduate of an accredited ARPN graduate program
