Job summary

El Paso Childrens Hospital Corporation seeks an experienced nurse leader to supervise off-shift clinical units, drive quality patient care, and coordinate preceptor activities. You will work under the director to supervise and evaluate nursing staff while developing unit-specific systems for improvement.

The role requires a BSN (or completion within three years), Texas RN licensure, BLS, and PALS within six months.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas (or in-state equivalent).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months of hire.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required or completed within three years in position.

Responsibilities

Supervise off-shift clinical unit functions and staff performance.
Assist with delegated projects; assume managerial responsibilities including supervision and evaluation of patient care and nursing staff.
Coordinate preceptor activities and clinical resources; ensure continuity of care across shifts.
Assist director in development, implementation and evaluation of unit-specific systems and activities for organizational improvement.
Provide clinical nursing care using the nursing process with age-appropriate, evidence-based practices.
Coordinate inter-unit communications to maintain smooth patient flow and safety.
