Job summary

El Paso Childrens Hospital Corporation seeks an experienced nurse leader to supervise off-shift clinical units, drive quality patient care, and coordinate preceptor activities. You will work under the director to supervise and evaluate nursing staff while developing unit-specific systems for improvement.

The role requires a BSN (or completion within three years), Texas RN licensure, BLS, and PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (or in-state equivalent).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months of hire.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required or completed within three years in position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise off-shift clinical unit functions and staff performance.
• Assist with delegated projects; assume managerial responsibilities including supervision and evaluation of patient care and nursing staff.
• Coordinate preceptor activities and clinical resources; ensure continuity of care across shifts.

Under the direction and supervision of the director, supervises the off-shift functions of the clinical units. Assists with or conducts delegated projects, assumes managerial responsibilities including supervision and evaluation of patient care and nursing Employees.Assumes responsibility for clinical resources and coordinates preceptor activities. Assists director in development, implementation, and evaluation of unit-specific systems/activities, which result in organizational improvement. Coordinates activities between shifts and clinical areas to ensure continuity of patient care.Provides clinical patient care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
