Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care and services to patients/families.
• Directs licensed practical nurses and nursing assistive personnel.
• Deligates nursing care according to guidelines and policies.
• Administers medications including intradermal local anesthetic for IV placement when appropriate.
• Teaches and mentors LPNs and nursing assistive personnel.
• Verifies staff competency for nursing tasks.
• Functions as primary nurse/total patient caregiver and resource nurse.
• Acts as preceptor and takes charge duties as assigned.
