Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Hawaii.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Oncology Unit: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy cert within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients and families.
• Delegates tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistive personnel.
• Utilizes nursing process to deliver care.
• Administers medications and intradermal local anesthetic for IV placement when appropriate.
• Teaches LPNs and nursing staff special tasks of nursing care.
• Verifies staff competency for nursing tasks.
• Acts as primary nurse/total patient caregiver and resource nurse.
• Takes charge duties as assigned and upholds KP Vision, Model and Values.
