Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Hawaii.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months of hire from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Practices professional nursing and delegates tasks to nursing assistive personnel and directs the LPN.
• Uses the nursing process to deliver care.
• Performs nursing tasks requiring nursing knowledge, judgment, and skill.
• Administers medications.
• Teaches LPNs and nursing staff special nursing tasks.
• Verifies staff competency for special tasks.
• Accountable for quality of nursing and adequacy of care when tasks are delegated.
• Functions as primary nurse/total patient caregiver and as resource nurse.
• Takes charge duties as assigned.
• Incorporates KP Vision, Model and Values in nursing practice.
