Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Assistant Clinical Manager for the Special Care Nursery. This role combines clinical leadership with administrative oversight to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

You will plan, organize, and direct patient care, assist in budgets and quality programs, and mentor nursing staff while maintaining strong communication with physicians, staff, and families. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Three years of charge experience.
• ACLS certification is required or preferred.
• State of Michigan RN license current.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs patient care within the department.
• Assists in development and monitoring of budgets and quality programs.
• Provides leadership on off-shift duties at least 75% of time worked.
• Serves as clinical resource and mentor to staff.
• Assists in supervision of staff and education programs.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and infection control.
• Communicates with staff, physicians, and families to coordinate care.
• Assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility with nurse manager.
