Job summary

Wichita State University’s NIAR ARC Robotics & Automation team is seeking a student assistant to perform administrative and technical tasks under supervision. You will assist and mentor others and support campus activities as needed.

The role focuses on developing automated systems for industrial applications, with opportunities to participate in research and provide hands-on support in intelligent manufacturing. On-site work is required and a minimum of 20 hours per week is expected.

Job Summary

A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties

As a member of our Robotics and Automation group, you will be responsible for developing and designing automated systems for industrial applications. Our team conducts research and design for a diverse range of clients and is dedicated to advancing the field of intelligent manufacturing processes. Examples include systems developed to perform, automated inspection, robotic processing, automated damage repair. Alongside developing these systems, you will be responsible for enabling digital twin technologies through simulation, verification, and closed loop sustainment.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent
