Job summary

Baillie Group in Leitchfield, KY is hiring a Hardwood Lumber Grader / Inspector to ensure the quality of lumber from the kiln-dried facility. This full-time role offers steady weekdays and first shift duties in a world-class hardwood lumber operation.

The candidate should be NHLA certified or have equivalent experience, with past walnut grading being a plus and the ability to apply NHLA rules accurately. Minimum one year of experience grading green and kiln-dried domestic lumber is required.

Qualifications

• NHLA certification or equivalent experience required.
• Experience grading walnut lumber is a plus.
• Accurate application of NHLA grading rules required.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects green and/or dry hardwood lumber according to species, grade and dimension.
• Grades at production rates while maintaining grading accuracy.
• Uses NHLA lumber grading rules to inspect lumber.
• Work safely and help maintain a safe work environment.
