Job summary

Abbott in La Jolla, CA seeks a Manager, Product Support in the Manufacturing Sciences team within the Cancer Diagnostics division, responsible for design transfer of new products, post-launch support, issue resolution, and risk mitigation in next-generation sequencing.

You will lead a cross-functional group coordinating with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, manage project portfolios, develop test methods, CAPA, and drive process improvements while mentoring leaders and ensuring GMP

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Molecular Biology or related field; or an Associate’s degree with 2 years relevant experience.
10+ years of experience with biochemical and molecular-based products.
5+ years of direct leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Lead a Manufacturing Sciences team driving initiatives aligned with business needs.
Provide technical leadership for NGS reagents and products.
Collaborate with R&D for design transfer, scaling, and QC test methods.
Oversee development, qualification, and troubleshooting of test methods and processes.
Lead CAPA, OOS, and NCMR investigations with data analysis and reporting.
Mentor managers and leaders, manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
