Job summary

OpenKrill is seeking a Product Manager, NGS to lead the DNA sequencing portfolio within a fast-paced biotech environment. Based in Boulder, CO or fully remote, you will drive product strategy, lifecycle management, and cross-functional execution with R&D, sales, and marketing.

The ideal candidate holds an MSc in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry (or equivalent) and 4+ years of industry experience, including product development. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field required.
• Minimum of 4 years industry relevant experience, including R&D.
• Product Management experience preferred; customer-facing roles are a plus.
• Experience being part of a new product development core team or project required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as organizational expert and champion for the DNA NGS portfolio.
• Translate market and customer needs into prioritized product requirements with R&D.
• Partner with sales to engage with key customers and drive collaborations.
• Develop product strategy and differentiated value propositions with Product Marketing.
• Manage lifecycle, pricing, documentation, sales training, and demand planning.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration (R&D, Support, Sales, Quality, Operations).
• Develop and execute portfolio strategies including market opportunities and roadmaps.
• Own lifecycle performance: monitor revenue, adoption, feedback, risks.
• Create competitive assessments and market trends.
• Lead portfolio communications and leadership updates; surface risks and decisions.
