Job summary

Labcorp in Durham, NC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer – NGS Operations to maintain Linux servers, build AWS cloud infrastructure, and support sequencing workflows in a hybrid model (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).

You’ll develop automation with Python, Bash, and PowerShell, collaborate with vendors, and help advance NGS hardware and software across cloud and grid computing environments while learning rapidly evolving technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT infrastructure, systems administration, or cloud platform support.
• 2+ years scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• 1+ year using AI tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux servers for NGS instrumentation and data workflows.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure and serverless sequencing pipelines.
• Configure NGS instrumentation systems and support HPC environments.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with vendors on system integration and new tech implementations.
