Job Description

The CTE Regional Specialist will grow the National Geographic Learning market share in K12 Career and Technical Education (CTE) by partnering effectively with the Secondary Education group. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, ensuring competitiveness, and increasing customer success with our products and platforms.

Responsibilities
  1. Build and implement a CTE sales plan aligned with the Secondary Education team.
  2. Develop post-sale support strategies for print and digital products.
  3. Create effective playbooks in collaboration with Marketing based on state and district logistics.
  4. Manage the sales pipeline to meet sales targets.
  5. Lead customer meetings and sales discussions to close new business and retain existing clients.
  6. Collaborate with sales consultants and regional managers on CTE selling strategies.
  7. Manage RFP processes and build winning proposals.
  8. Create and deliver impactful presentations.
  9. Partner with editorial, technical, and marketing teams to ensure product and marketing success in the CTE market.
  10. Demonstrate deep knowledge of products, digital platforms, and the US K12 market.
  11. Develop competitive knowledge to shape product positioning and development.
  12. Involve CTE authors, advocates, or team members as appropriate.
  13. Ensure effective communication and coordination between teams.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least five years of sales experience
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively across departments
  • Strong diplomatic skills and evidence-based opinions
  • Strong C-level consulting and relationship-building skills at district and state levels
  • Exceptional presentation skills with experience creating presentations
  • Initiative, thoroughness, and ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Strategic and tactical thinking with effective prioritization
  • Proficiency in digital platforms like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook
  • Ability to travel 35% overnight by auto and air
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of K12 sales experience in CTE
  • Managerial experience
  • Experience mentoring and developing others
  • Proven major-account sales ability in education or related fields
  • Experience with digital sales products and CRM
Compensation

Range: $67,000 - $86,000 USD. Individual pay varies based on qualifications, experience, location, and internal equity. Sales roles may include additional incentive compensation.
