Job summary

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club in Tempe, AZ, is seeking an Assistant, Athletic Training for a May 2027–June 2029 full-time temporary role within the Athletic Training Department. The position offers hands-on exposure in an NFL setting, supporting daily treatments and practice preparations.

You work under the Head Athletic Trainer and assist with hydration, medical records, and game-day setup. Requires CAATE-aligned education, BOC eligibility, and AZ licensure eligibility, plus strong

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training with a completed Master’s Degree (CAATE-accredited).
• 1–2 years of sports-related Athletic Training experience (student or certified).
• BOC certification or eligibility to sit within 4 months of starting.
• Arizona Athletic Training License eligibility.
• Demonstrated understanding when working with injured athletes; strong communication.
• Maintains confidentiality and high energy on a team pursuing championship performance.
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours; lift 30+ pounds; outdoor conditions possible.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in daily treatments of injured athletes.
• Prepares athletes for daily practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitized Athletic Training Room.
• Sets up and breaks down training supplies for daily practices/games.
• Communicates injury statuses to Head Athletic Trainer.
• Assists with hydration during activities.
• Manages game-day athletic training processes.
• Maintains confidential medical records for each athlete.
• Sets up mobile AT room during road trips.
• Supervises 5–6 student assistants during training camp.
• Other duties as assigned.
