Job summary

Terros Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Configuration Specialist to support NextGen configuration within revenue cycle management. The role focuses on payer contracts, fee schedules, providers, code set mapping, and testing changes to ensure accurate billing and reporting.

You will work with the Director of Revenue Cycle Management, maintain documentation, run ad-hoc reports, and contribute to quality and performance initiatives while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to five (5) years’ work configuration experience or a combination of claims processing, healthcare system operations, data analytics and configuration experience
• Working knowledge of managed care operations and claims billing systems required
• NextGen certification is preferred
• Experience with provider and fee schedule configuration with the ability to analyze and translate data into useful information
• Understanding of industry standard code sets and government regulations

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an understanding of current payer and NextGen configuration rules, contracts, and policies
• Assist in the loading of Payor contracts, Providers, Fee schedules, and Code set mapping
• Develop and maintain configuration documentation and communicate configuration processes, changes and best practices
• Develop and execute test scenarios for configuration changes
• Maintain system flags and understand impact on claims and EHR system
• Develop and monitor post-production audit reports for configuration-related changes
• Run and analyze ad-hoc reports
• Meet department production and quality standards
• Assist in presenting reports and recommendations to enhance revenue cycle performance
• Assist in implementation of quality and performance management initiatives
• Ensure outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
• Maintain documentation of approved software changes and notifications
