Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of business, analytical, technical or product experience (or 8 years’ combined education/work).
• Experience gathering requirements and writing user stories
• Experience supporting backlog management and testing in product/tech environments
• Exposure to financial services operations, accounting, or transaction processing workflows
• Ability to work across business, operations, and technology teams
• Experience supporting systems used for trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, or financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Build and own the product vision and roadmap aligned with strategy; prioritize backlog accordingly.
• Represent the voice of the customer and convey story details to the team; make autonomous decisions to move delivery forward.
• Write user stories and groom the backlog; specify acceptance criteria for each story.
• Collaborate with the delivery team to create information radiators and communication tools.
• Participate in all team activities and ceremonies.
• Influence across organization to advocate for customer benefit.
• Engage with customers and focus on outcomes; apply design thinking and analytics.
• Align roadmaps with other Product Owners; coordinate customer journeys and backlogs.
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards; escalate issues as needed.
• Support a Belonging and M&T Bank brand environment.
• Maintain internal controls and address audit/regulator points.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
