Job summary

The Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance Foundation is recruiting for a full-time Next Generation Program Manager, to advance conservation workforce development and biocultural education across Hawaiʻi. The role coordinates priority projects, engages diverse partners, and manages program budgets.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional experience in education, conservation workforce development, biocultural research or management in Hawaiʻi.
• Strong project management with budget tracking and procurement experience.
• Grant seeking and grant writing experience.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with public and private conservation partners in Hawaiʻi.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative with diplomacy and good judgement.
• Excellent note-taking and communication skills with MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead evaluation, fundraising, reporting, and partner development for the Next Gen Program.
• Implement strategic goals related to Nāhululeihiwakuipapa subcommittee.
• Develop agendas and facilitate monthly action items for the subcommittee.
• Lead multi-partner activities for Hawaiʻi conservation workforce development.
• Coordinate student and emerging professional programs with partners and events.
• Support planning and execution of Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference.
• Develop program content for communications platforms (social media, newsletters).
• Monitor and update Conservation Career Compass website.
• Supervise 1–2 seasonal volunteers or graduate assistants.
• Conduct outreach to schools and colleges to raise awareness of career pathways.
