Role Overview

We’re seeking a field‑capable News Reporter to be the voice of our U.S. politics coverage. We aren't just looking for a presenter; we are looking for a storyteller who can decode complex political developments. You will cover the heartbeat of American democracy—from legislative shifts on Capitol Hill to the pulse of the voter on the street. While our production team in India handles the technical editing and graphics, your focus will be on uncovering the nuance behind the headlines.

Key Responsibilities

• You will break down major policy changes, legislative updates, and White House decisions, explaining their real‑world impact on the public.
• Elections & Grassroots Reporting: This includes reporting on campaign trails, analyzing swing state dynamics, and capturing the mood at rallies and town halls.
• Voice of the People: Conduct interviews not just with experts and politicians, but with everyday citizens to capture the "Public Pulse" on critical issues like the economy, healthcare, and immigration.
• Editorial Strategy: Collaborate with the editorial team to shape the narrative. You won't just deliver news; you will help decide which angles matter most in the current news cycle.
• Field & Studio Hybrid: Whether reporting live from a protest or delivering an analysis piece from your home studio, the goal is high‑impact journalism. (Note: All post‑production, editing, and packaging are handled by us).

Requirements

• Journalistic Experience: At least 1 year of reporting experience with a strong portfolio in political news or current affairs.
