Job Title: Entertainment Video Reporter (On-Ground) – LA/NYC, USA

Type: Full-Time / Contract / Freelance (Ad-hoc, Event-based)

About the Role

MEAWW is looking for a dynamic, camera-ready Entertainment Video Reporter to be our on-ground eyes and ears in Los Angeles or New York City. You’ll be attending celebrity events, red carpets, viral hotspots, and gossip locations to capture exclusive, engaging, and personality-driven content for our social media and video platforms.

This is a highly interactive role where your personality can become the “face” of our account, helping build trust and relatability with our audience.

Key Responsibilities

Attend celebrity events, red carpets, on-site activations, viral hotspots, and man-on-street gossip POVs in the LA/NYC entertainment scene.
Record short selfie-style videos with immediate reactions to gossip, trending stories, or breaking entertainment news (e.g., “Y’all won’t believe what I saw outside The Ivy…”).
Capture quick reaction clips and voiceover intros at event entrances and venues.
Share raw event footage in real-time with the India-based editorial and video teams for same-shift editing.
Coordinate closely with Day and Night shift leads to ensure smooth handoffs for breaking and exclusive stories.
Maintain active communication during events to meet tight content delivery deadlines.
Build and maintain a personality-led presence that resonates with our followers and strengthens audience trust.

Requirements

Based in Los Angeles (preferred) or New York City, with the flexibility to travel locally to events.
On-camera confidence and strong storytelling skills in an informal, conversational style.
Access to a high-quality smartphone or camera, microphone, and stable internet connection for fast content uploads.
Strong awareness of Hollywood, celebrity culture, and entertainment gossip trends.
Flexible availability to work ad-hoc, mostly during EST daytime, including weekends and evenings when events occur.
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate remotely with a global team.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a digital content creator, on-camera reporter, or entertainment journalist.
Familiarity with social media trends and content formats for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Strong network or access within the LA/NYC entertainment scene.
