Job summary

Western Mass News, a Gray Media property in the Pioneer Valley, seeks a hard-news, enterprising Anchor/Multimedia Journalist to join our award-winning team. The role combines morning anchoring with MMJ duties and expanding digital content across platforms.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced newsroom, can turn stories quickly, and contributes to streaming and social video initiatives to engage viewers across Western Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• College degree and some professional experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Western Massachusetts and New England is a plus.
• Energetic self-starter.
• Strong writing and organizational skills.
• Enjoy a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Co-Anchor our Morning newscasts
• Handle general assignment stories as an MMJ as assigned
• Handle digital/streaming assignments as assigned
• Collaborate on and host streaming shows as assigned
• Handle other Special Projects as assigned
