Job summary

JW Zepeda Law Firm is seeking a newly licensed Texas attorney who is eager to learn, work hard, and grow into a confident litigator. You will draft pleadings and discovery, talk to real clients, and work on real cases from the start.

You will receive mentorship, training, and direct feedback from attorneys who understand that becoming a lawyer takes more than passing the Bar. Expect hands-on litigation experience and meaningful responsibilities as you grow.

Qualifications

• Active Texas law license in good standing.
• Newly licensed attorney or attorney with limited post-licensure experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to travel throughout Texas for hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related matters.
• Willing to appear in person or remotely when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with clients.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
• Assist with case strategy and litigation preparation.
• Prepare for hearings, depositions, mediations, and negotiations.
• Attend and participate in court proceedings.
• Develop courtroom and advocacy skills.
• Work directly with experienced attorneys.
• Learn how litigation matters move from beginning to resolution.
• Take on greater responsibility as your skills and judgment develop.
