Job summary

BABIES FIRST NEWBORN HEARING SCREEN PROGRAM LLC in Baltimore, MD seeks a part-time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician to perform mandated tests on hospitalized newborns, educate parents, and record results.

On-site at hospital NICU units, you will enter data, assist with appointments, ensure infection control, and uphold patient privacy. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required unless exempt. Flexible weekend availability is appreciated.

Qualifications

• Experience working with infants preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss at hospital locations.
• Educate parents about the importance of newborn hearing screening.
• Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results.
• Assist with scheduling and follow‑up of appointments and equipment issues.
• Maintain infection control, safety policies, and hospital procedures.
