Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Construction Manager, New Store Development, to own on-ground builds for East Coast stores. You will manage projects from pre-construction through closeout with budgets ranging from $50K to $2.5M+, coordinating with Real Estate, Operations, Finance, and external vendors.

This role requires 5-7+ years in commercial retail or restaurant construction, strong budgeting/forecasting skills, and experience with health code compliance and kitchen systems.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in construction PM or project engineering in retail, restaurant, or grocery.
• Independent ownership of full-store builds with budget accountability.
• Experience with commercial kitchen construction and health code coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
• Own budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and variance reporting to leadership.
• Solicit bids, negotiate contracts with GCs/subcontractors, and ensure on-site oversight.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Store Ops, IT, Finance; ensure health and safety compliance.
• Deliver regular budget forecasting reports and maintain project documentation.
