Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a New Product Development Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team from concept to market. You will steer design-to-value and manufacturability while maintaining budget discipline and aligningwith customer expectations.

You will drive strategic plans, collaborate with marketing and operations, and oversee engineering aspects of new product development, ensuring compliance with industry standards and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in engineering and project management.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing people.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred); MBA is a plus.
• CAD/SolidWorks experience in 2D/3D; Inventor, AutoCAD, Unigraphics preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent teamwork.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar PM software.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPD projects from concept to realization aligning with the business plan, budget, and customer expectations.
• Direct the team to deliver NPD growth by aligning resources to projects.
• Deliver NPD sales targets and drive product adoption with customers.
• Lead Design to Value (DtV) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives.
• Prepare and control budgets for NPD, Test Laboratory, and Engr Services.
• Participate in cross-BU innovation projects and strategic planning.
• Develop policies and implement NPD stage-gate processes and standards.
• Provide engineering oversight for new product development and regulatory compliance.
• Stay current with industry standards (UL, CSA, IEC, ANSI, etc.).
• Lead Kaizen events and develop business cases for new tech and lab improvements.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations on product strategies and cost reductions.
• Contribute ideas for new or revised designs and understand manufacturing processes.
• Interface with customers to provide technical assistance and domain knowledge.
