Job summary

Point Blank Enterprises in New York supports its New Product Development team with design, lay-up, fabrication, materials identification and process creation for ballistic protection products. The Development Technician position requires 3–5 years in engineering or manufacturing, knowledge of ballistic materials, and the ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.

ITAR compliance and eligibility for government security clearance are also required.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering and/or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ballistic materials.
• Excellent organizational, technical and communication skills.
• Eligible for forklift certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain work environment for various projects within NPD area.
• Create/fabricate work product in support of new product development efforts.
• Uses chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks with PPE as required.
• Coordinate materials handling activities with suppliers and warehouse personnel.
• Attend internal and external technical meetings.
• Supply data for new technology briefings for internal and external presentations.
• Other duties and areas may be assigned to meet business needs.
