Job summary

Midmark Corporation seeks a Purchases/Procurement professional to plan, organize, and coordinate all PE-related purchasing activities across multiple projects. The role supports specific PE teams while aligning with Global Sourcing standards and company objectives.

The candidate will lead supplier evaluations, negotiate with suppliers, manage RFPs, and drive cost reductions while ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and on-time project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or engineering or related field; 3–5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in procurement or sourcing for product engineering projects is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Influence PE projects using concurrent engineering to optimize quality, lead times, and cost.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers; lead quoting and award for PE projects while meeting commodity strategies.
• Manage RFP process; evaluate suppliers for cost, quality, inventory and supply chain needs.
• Drive cost reduction/improvement/avoidance while ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Lead design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews with Quality and Product Engineering.
• Conduct supplier risk assessment and mitigation from start to production.
• Coordinate supplier evaluation, selection, and approval ensuring adherence to scope and timing.
• Oversee product launch ramp-up and transfer to production; forecast demand and inventory needs; place POs.
• Maintain project standard cost data and related metrics.
• Engage with Commodity Sourcing Leads, Operation Buyers, Design Engineers, and Supplier Quality Engineers for seamless transfer of PE project sourcing information.
